Ripdev annouces InstallerApp 1.1 Update
All of you that used the InstallerApp before the 3.0 upgrade can now go back to your old habbits. Ripdev has updated their desktop app, InstallerApp 1.1, for Windows and Mac versions. You will be able to find the downloads here or if you have it already installed, auto update should run once you launch the app.

“We have just released a free update to our package installer tool, InstallerApp, for both Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows. Among other things, we have ensured it works on Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, removed support for Installer repositories (that are no longer supported anyway), and stripped off the Pusher technology in favor of the existing jailbreak solutions such as PwnageTool and redsn0w. To install stuff onto the iPhone, simply install package named InstallerApp Support from Cydia or Icy on the device (from our repository apt.ripdev.com) and there you go! “
For all of you curious what the InstallerApp purpose is, it’s basically a way to download Cydia applications onto your computer and then transfer them on to your connected iPhone. Basically, an iTunes manageable program for Cydia. However, you do need to pay a fee of $7 to for this well-worth-it desktop app. Other requirements you need to follow:
- You must Jailbreak your device.
- Add the Ripdev source: http://apt.ripdev.com/
- Install “InstallerApp Support”
