I believe everyone can agree that accessing, reading, composing mail on the iPhone is pretty solid. There isn’t much more we could ask for, however, there’s always room for improvement. Which in this case, Attachment Saver cures one of my requests. Through Cydia, you can now download an extension that allows you to download any email attachment directly to your iPhone. So now you can download videos, pdf’s, office docs, or anything else that lands in your inbox.

As nice as this option is, there are a few stipulations:

• You must be running 3.0 firmware or higher
• You will also need to install iFile via Cydia.  This is one of the best system navigators to search for files on your device.  You will be able to find the attachment downloads at private/var/mobile/library/attachments
• And lastly, you’ll need to cough up $2 to download Attachment Saver.
