Don’t let your meter run out with Parking App
Did you think you had 10 minutes left on your parking meter when you were playing Russian roulette with the clock? Just another quater and you could have saved yourself from that $15 ticket. Now with Parking App you won’t have to worry about watching your watch like a hawk or play guessing games. This app not only helps you keep track of your time left but also lets you add your location of where you parked. You can also add a picture or text to help you rember where you left your car.
You can also customize “zones” that you park in that have certain rules such as street cleaning or other restrictions. This is helpful if you are not able to keep track of which streets are safe to park on during the week.
Now here is the catch. To enable alerts that inform you of your time left on your meter, you must either have the app open OR be alerted by SMS. If you go with the SMS route, you must have an account setup with Gmail to receive the alerts or warnings. I’m assuming that in the future we will be seeing updates that lead to push notifications. If Parking App wants to keep up with the rest of the App Store community, this would be a smart move rather than the user being charged for every warning. This is probably a strong reason why the app is currently discounted. But for the most part, great idea and good investment for all you dare devil city-street parkers.Â
Parking app usually is priced at $2.99 but it is on sale for $.99 in the App Store
