If you have an unlocked iPhone, you’ve probably already noticed that visual voicemail is not available because, obviously, AT&T is not your provider. However, you can still make use of the voicemail button to access your voicmail with this simple hack.

Note: this is NOT to enable visual voicemail for your carrier

1.) The first step you need to find out if you haven’t already is the voicemail number you need to dial. Usually your provider will provide this information online.

2.) Now that you have your voicemail number, tap on the Phone icon.

3.) Switch over to the keypad by taping on the Keypad tab.

4.) You will now need to enter the following code: *5005*86*xxx#.  (the xxx represents your voicemail number)

5.) After inputing the code, tap Call.  This will set the code.

Your Voicemail tab should now dial your voicemail when tapped.
