Yahoo! Calendar now syncs with iPhone
For those of you run your life by the Yahoo calendar are now in luck. Or maybe this will start to push you to take advantage of your Yahoo account. With that said, you will now be able to sync your calendar with your iPhone. There’s no need for Jailbreaking or any behind the scene tricks. Once you have your calendar set up, you will be able to share calendars with other people, also.
The Yahoo Mail Blog wanted to make sure you realize there are some pre-requistes before rush in. You need to be running at least 3.0 firmware or higher. Also, once you sync with your iPhone, Yahoo will switch you over to the new Yahoo! Calendar 2.0 (Beta).
If you need help setting up calendar, just follow these instructions:Â
1.) Go to your iPhone settings application.
2.) Tap “Mail, Contacts, Calendars”
3.) Tap “Add Account”
4.) Tap “Other” and then tap “Add CalDAV Account”
5.) For the “Server” you can simply type “yahoo”
6.) Now type in the Yahoo! username and password you use to signin to your calendar
7.) Once you click save, the iPhone will verify your username and password
8.) Next time you open up your iPhone Calendar you will see a page allowing you to select which Yahoo! Calendar layer you want to view/edit
