TomTom is leading us to believe they are getting closer to releasing its car kit after providing a promo video. We know now the kit will be able to charge your device, provide an enhanced GPS signal, added speaker, audio-out function, and third-party app support.

But the main question still remains. How much is this puppy going to cost us? Rumors have been circling around the $200 range (combined with software). This will be the key that makes or breaks the TomTom integration to the iPhone.  However, they do have the rumored compatibility with the iPod Touch in their favor.

After Navigon and others have released their iPhone based releases I have, like most people, waited patiently to see what TomTom will bring to the table. So far so good. But, we’re not out of the woods yet.
