Take Panoramic photos with Pano
I was never much of a mobile picture snapper. But there are times when I do have the urge to pull out my iPhone and take a couple shots when I get caught up in the moment. I guess the main reason for my lack of use is because there’s still room for improvement when it comes to the iPhone camera. But that’s another topic for another time. My point is that after discovering Pano, I’m more intrigued to start using my iPhone more for not just taking normal pictures, but adding a panoramic twist to them.
Pano can easily guide you through creating your panoramic photo in a few easy steps. It takes care of most of the work by helping you align each photo you shoot so there isn’t as much repair and stitching to do later. Like most things, you’re not always going to nail it on the first try. It doesn’t take long to master this app and bring more life to your photos.
You start by snapping the first picture on the left and snap the second picture by lining up a ghost image from the first shot. This won’t be perfect, but the more accurate you are the better the image quality. You can shoot up to 16 images for your final outcome.
When you are done, Pano merges and heals the stitching to the panoramic image. This app blends almost as well, if not better, than other third-party software. For $2.99 in the App Store, this is a bargain compared to what you could invest in other tools. These sample pictures (below) from Debacle Software speaks for themselves.

“A note to iPhone 3GS users: the iPhone 3GS has a bug whereby saving large images (like panoramas) to your camera roll can freeze the camera. This is “not” a bug with Pano, rather Pano simply exposes this bug by producing large images. We’re working with Apple on this issue and hope to have it resolved as soon as possible.”
