Sam Houser, the founder of Rockstar Games, released the following statement: “Chinatown Wars is a perfect match for the iPhone and iPod touch.  We are very excited to bring this incredibly ambitious version of Liberty City, with this level of detail and immersive gameplay on Apple’s new gaming platforms.”

As for the storyline and role-play, the user will gain control over Huang Lee. As a member of the Triad crime syndicate, he travels to investigate his father’s death. Traveling through the streets of Liberty City, you will get your taste of classic Grand Theft Auto underground game-play.

This app appearing in the app store came somewhat of a shock knowing how Apple rules with a fist towards adult material. But, on the other hand, money talks. After a heavy steady stream of success on other gaming platforms such as PlayStation, Nintendo DS, and XBOX, this makes an easy decision for Apple. Expect to see GTA at the top of the best paid apps in the near future.
